Cookie Policy
How SportsFINDR uses cookies · June 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, tablet or phone) when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to remember information about your visit, such as whether you are logged in or which preferences you have set.
Alongside cookies, websites can use similar technologies such as local storage in your browser. Where this policy refers to "cookies", we mean both classic cookies and such comparable storage techniques.
2. Which cookies does SportsFINDR use?
SportsFINDR currently only uses strictly necessary and functional cookies. In concrete terms, these are:
Session cookie (login)
- Set by our authentication provider to keep you securely logged in while you use the Platform. Without this cookie, features such as your account, bookings and messages cannot function.
Interface preference cookie (sidebar_state)
- A local preference cookie that remembers whether the sidebar menu is open or collapsed, so the interface looks the same the next time you visit.
Payment cookies (Stripe)
- Set by our payment service provider Stripe during checkout. These cookies are required for secure payment processing and for fraud prevention. They are only set when you actually go through the checkout flow.
3. Legal basis and consent
All cookies described above are strictly necessary or functional: they are required for the Platform to work, to keep you logged in, to remember basic interface preferences and to process payments securely.
Under the GDPR and the ePrivacy rules, strictly necessary and functional cookies do not require prior consent from visitors. We nevertheless disclose them here for transparency, so you know exactly what is stored on your device when you use SportsFINDR.
4. No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies
SportsFINDR does not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not share your browsing behaviour with third parties for advertising purposes.
If this changes in the future — for example if we introduce analytics or marketing cookies — we will update this Cookie Policy and add an appropriate consent mechanism before any such cookies are set.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
You can delete cookies at any time via the settings of your browser, and you can also configure your browser to refuse cookies. Please note that if you refuse or delete the cookies described above, parts of the Platform (such as staying logged in or completing a payment) may no longer work properly.
6. Changes
We may amend this Cookie Policy from time to time. The most recent version is always available on the Platform.
